Chapter 92 – Holiday Shopping
One morning, while Dad was out of town, Enzo said to Merot, “Christmas coming soon. We should get Dad someting. But what?” Being the “resident novelist for Small Pet Select,” Enzo had access to the tablet. It was open to the Small Pet Select website, where he had lots of points from writing all of his blogs.
Being a girl, Merlot liked to shop. She said, “I’ll do it!” Enzo was happy to let her do the shopping. He wandered off to nibble on some willow leaves.
A little while later, Enzo came back to see how Merlot was doing. “Whatcha got?” he asked. Merlot replied proudly, “I got berry loops. They’re so good! And I got a box of hay. And some foraging rounds. And some rabbit toys.”
Enzo said, “Dose are nice. But Dad not a rabbit.” Merlot said, “Well, that’s OK. If he doesn’t want them, we can use them!” She hopped off to play.
Enzo rolled his eyes. He knew he was going to have to do the shopping.
