    Hello. It’s Belinda.

Two weeks ago I asked everyone to send photos of rabbits and other small roommates celebrating “special occasions.”

You sent me so many good ones. Last week I shared just a few of your photos in my blog.

But that was just the beginning. So if you like to see scenes of celebrations, special occasions or just good old-fashioned “good times,” you are going to love today’s blog.

And it all starts with my friend Chimi.

You will never believe this but Chimi is celebrating her 12th birthday in this photo. She looks like she still has plenty of “pep” if you ask me.

Chimi’s roommate Cynthia S. sent this photo and I’m glad she did.

Joelle G. sent this photo of Ciccio enjoying some time on his patio. It’s like a “mini vacation” when you can get some fresh air without leaving home.

    Looking good, Ciccio.

Do you see that birthday cake with the candles?

Cinnamon is smart to stay on the floor chewing that “birthday carrot.”

Rabbits are not allowed to fool around with candles. You probably know that but some rabbits need to be “reminded.”

A big thank you to Cinnamon’s roommate Yvonne for sending in this photo.

    What is Cosmo playing in?

I’m not sure but I think there’s something tasty hidden in those colored ribbons. And I think Cosmo’s roommate Samantha W. might need to “restock” the whole thing several times a day.

Cosmo looks like an A+ “forager.”

If you’re wondering how this is a party photo I have an answer.

    It’s a “party of two.”

Ducky and Pavlova are showing everyone how to enjoy a quiet afternoon. It all starts with stretching your legs and immediately nodding off.

Oriana C. snapped the photo and it’s a winner.

If you need another example of “power napping” look no further than my friend Eureka.

He stretched his back legs so far he “spilled” right off the front of his bed.

Eureka spends most of his time entertaining his roommate, Marie. Way to go, “big fella.”

When Kat throws a birthday party for Vinny, she goes “all in.”

Vinny, you look like a movie star with all those decorations. I hope you had a very happy day.

Sara W. told me that Harper likes snacks. You can tell just by looking at this photo.

I don’t know if he had a special holiday treat, a party snack or just a favorite “goodie” on a regular day.

Whatever it was, Harper is licking his lips. We do the same thing here, Harper.

    Here’s something a little different.

I’ll let Katie, the “birthday girl,” tell the story:

“I thought you would enjoy this photo from my birthday party this winter!

Heather can be quite a party animal but she seemed to feel this one was thrown without her consent, so she monitored the proceedings with some suspicion from under my chair.”

It’s a good thing Heather allowed the guests inside.

Just kidding. Thanks for the fun story.

Sue G. sent this special “memory photo” of her beloved Mocha Java, which she took way back in 2017. Mocha Java was celebrating her 3rd birthday.

Mochi, your roommate misses you very much. I hope you can see yourself in today’s blog.

Anytime you have a new friend it’s a reason to celebrate.

Penelope has a new best friend named Liora and get this. Liora is a dog.

Their roommate Lyssa says everything is peaceful in the house and that’s good to hear. Sounds like Penelope has a very nice family.

Christina sent this photo of her husband, Cliff, with Penny. I like how he uses the steps to see “eye to eye” with her.

I heard a rumor that Cliff is Penny’s “favorite human.”

If you’re wondering what Penny is doing in the photo, she’s inspecting her evening meal for quality control.

I have a “hunch” she gets a lot of excellent snacks. Good for you, Penny.

These three photos were taken at a fun outdoor “Hoppy Hour and Pignic” organized by a rescue called Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter (BUNS). They are an all volunteer rabbit and guinea pig rescue organization in Santa Barbara, CA.

The event was held back on May 16 and it raised funds to help cover veterinary and other costs. According to BUNS volunteer Jackie Z, “Everybun and piggie had a good time. The humans too.”

I can tell just by looking at the photos. Thanks for emailing them to me.

Do you see that flower on Stewey’s head?  That’s his fancy “party apparel.”

By the way he ate it afterward.

Thanks to roommate Barbara C. for the photo.

Concert? Festival? Dig in the carpet behind the couch?

Stormy is looking for something to do.

If you have any ideas, pass them along to his roommates Lorri and Todd H.

    Last but not least.

I would like to congratulate Zeke, Wilbur and Sonny on their recent bonding success.

That’s right. After years of living as neighbors, these “besties” are now a bonded trio. Their roommate Christy M. must be so glad to have only one big rabbit “den” to tidy up instead of three.

It’s interesting to see what everyone is up to. Bonding and relaxing on patios and getting extra treats on birthdays.

I hope you got a “kick” out of these two photo blogs. I sure did.

You can always send photos or messages to me at belinda@smallpetselect.com or post them in the comments on the Small Pet Select Facebook page.

Thanks for helping me with my blog. I couldn’t do any of this without my friends.

    Sincerely,

    Belinda
