Belinda and Merlot have an important work meeting. The topic is “tech.”

    Hello. It’s Belinda.

Do you use computer “apps” at your job?

It’s a real thump in my opinion.

And I’m having a very embarrassing problem right now at work. With “tech.”

I’m wondering if any of you know about blogs. Especially comment boxes.

    I need help.

But first I want to talk about Merlot, the new novelist for Small Pet Select.

I hope you read her chapters. There’s a new one every Wednesday.

I introduced her back in February.

I’m “technically” her boss but we’re more like friends. We meet every week and I’m supposed to teach her how to use the computer but come on.

If you’re asking me about that you’re really barking in the wrong burrow.

You can read about one of our work meetings in Merlot’s latest chapter. It’s called “Understanding Humans.”

She writes about trying to research why humans act the way they do. You’d need a whole library to figure that out.

    Just kidding.

Anyway, Merlot tried asking artificial intelligence, also called AI, some questions about roommates. You can read what happened here.

Merlot is doing an excellent job as company novelist. It’s not easy to take over for Enzo. Just like it was hard for him to fill Abigail’s shoes.

As for me, I’m not much of a fan of AI. I can tell you that right now.

For example, my roommate was goofing around last week and she told me we’re “living in a simulation.”

I don’t want to live in a simulation.

I’m just trying to sell hay.

OK now to my own tech issue.

As I mentioned in the “Welcome Merlot” blog, I broke the comments a few months ago.

I have tried every day since then to fix it. I miss the comment box so much.

I sent about 40 “work tickets” to the Tech Team. I wrote the same thing on every ticket: “Something horrible happened to the comment box. Please fix it ASAP.”

Well they fixed it all right.

Don’t look now but there’s some sort of “glam portrait” where the comment box used to be.

And by portrait I mean an odd photo of a woman in glasses and a rabbit.  Plus a bunch of writing about me.

I’m not saying anything else. But if you know who that rabbit is, send me a “private message.”

I told you this was embarrassing.

I wasn’t going to even talk about it but enough is enough. I sent 10 work tickets this week. Two per day. Still no comment box.

In the meantime, if you’d like to send a message to Merlot at Abigail’s House of Buns, you can email it to Belinda@smallpetselect.com.

Thanks for reading my blog and Merlot’s novel.

I hope you have a good week. Stay warm and watch out for tech.

It can be pretty “unintelligent” if you know what I mean.

    Sincerely,

    Belinda
