Brrrr…winter has officially arrived at our house!
How about yours? Has it snowed yet?
Big Momma has been busy putting up all the holiday decorations and going to festive gatherings with friends.
I wheeked to her that I wanted to have a festive gathering here. Guess what? She agreed!
So we worked hard and gave my playpen a special holiday makeover featuring my very own Winter Wonderland!
First, I packed my hay into a cozy Christmas castle so I can stay warm and nibble at the same time.
Then I spread out the fluffy “snow” (also known as my soft white paper bedding).
Once everything looked festive and magical, I squeaked out invitations to all my piggy friends for a holiday party!
Big Momma’s house looked so beautiful! She put on soft lighting and gentle holiday music, which always soothes my soul. She called it “ambiance.” I called it magical!
By the time my piggy friends arrived, the whole room smelled like a holiday bouquet.
That’s because we were serving the star of the season: the Holiday Dinner Bowl! It’s a delicious guinea pig forage mix filled with parsley stalks, carrot slices, plus parsnip and beetroot flakes. (Holiday bonus: it has an edible bowl too!)
It’s basically holiday cheer in snack form.
The colors look like Christmas confetti, and the flavors? Ohhhh ho ho! Pure joy. If you’re looking for holiday treats for guinea pigs, this one is squeak-approved.
As we munched, crunched, and shared every tasty bit, our Winter Wonderland came alive. Snowy fleece rustled, twinkly lights glistened, and we all enjoyed the simple, cozy happiness that comes from winter forage for small pets like my piggy pals.
After enjoying the absolute best guinea pig enrichment we could wish for, my friends went home with warm bellies and full hearts.
As for me, I settled into my hay castle, whiskers dusted with beetroot flakes, feeling extra grateful for good friends and good snacks.
