🐛 Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor)
Mealworms are one of the most popular feeder insects for reptiles, birds, small mammals, and other insectivores.

They have a lighter brown, uniform color and a soft exoskeleton, which makes them easy for pets to digest.
Aggressiveness:
Completely harmless—they do not bite or sting.

Superworms (Zophobas morio)
Superworms are often mistaken for mealworms, but they are larger, more active, and have a tougher exoskeleton.

Typically grow 2 inches or longer, about twice the size of a giant mealworm.
Nutrition:
Superworms contain higher levels of calcium, fiber, and fat, but less protein, compared to mealworms.
Storage:
Unlike mealworms, superworms must be kept at room temperature—refrigeration will kill them. When stored properly, they can be fed to pets for months.
Color & Texture:
They are darker brown with black tips and a firm exoskeleton, making them harder to digest for some smaller pets.
Aggressiveness:
Superworms can bite and have a small, pin-like spine on their backs for defense.
Availability:
